SLIS Learning Outcomes Justification
Through writing the grant application, I learned to analyze the information needs of diverse individuals and communities specifically in justifying the project. Every detail of the project had to be explained and accounted based on research we had done on the community. By working with four other students, I worked to share responsibilities and labor, as well as to build relationships with my classmates. This also was important in building clear oral communication skills. Finally, writing a grant proposal that had such strict guidelines as this hypothetical project required a high degree of efficiency and clarity in written communication.
